Everton consider move for West Ham's Maxwel Cornet to replace Alex Iwobi

Fulham are advancing in a deal for Everton midfielder Alex Iwobi and hope to seal a £20million transfer before Friday's deadline.

The 27-year-old is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury sustained during the Toffees 1-0 defeat to Wolves and would represent a huge loss for Sean Dyche's side.

The former Arsenal winger started all 38 games for Everton last season as his transition to a central role helped the club stave off relegation.

In return, Everton have looked to out-of-favour West Ham winger Maxwell Cornet to fill the void. The 26-year-old joined the Hammers from Burnley, where he played under Dyche, last summer but has failed to nail down a starting spot.
