Everton have held talks over a proposed contract for goalkeeper Jonas Lossl.

The 30-year old Denmark international has been released by Huddersfield Town following their relegation so is a free agent.

Everton want cover for England No 1 Jordan Pickford.

Huddersfield had approached Sheffield Wednesday for their goalkeeper Kieren Westwood but he is expected to stay at Hillsborough.

Lossl made 149 saves in 31 Premier League appearances in his final season for Huddersfield but kept just five clean sheets.

Pickford kept 14 shutouts in 38 games, making 143 saves in the process.
