Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was named the Manager of the Year by the League Managers Association (LMA).
The German coach won the award despite the Reds finishing second in the 2021-22 Premier League behind Pep Guardiola's Manchester City. Klopp received the Sir Alex Ferguson Trophy for the LMA Manager of the Year.

Managers like Steve Coppell and Peter Reid, who have managed in the Indian Super League (ISL), have also won this prestigious award in the past.
While former Jamshedpur FC and Kerala Blasters coach Coppell won it twice in his career while being at Reading, former Mumbai City boss Peter Reid won it once.

Obviously that is not how the award is given no matter how impressive it is. I don't see Conte winning the trophy do I?? with almost no signing finishing fourth from 9th. He deserves it more. And overall I agree Liverpool have had the better season but I thought the award was about the epl season only. In that regard Pep is the better one.
That is League Manager Association award, so its obviously other managers think Klopp did a better job by winning 2 domestic cup, reach UCL final and keep fighting at EPL til the last match. Or maybe because they think MC previous manager also won the EPL like Pep. The difference is Pep upgraded that team with another 1 billion, and still he didnt win the UCL. So whats special?
