Former AC Milan coach Clarence Seedorf doesn't expect the World Cup break to affect the title race.
Serie A resumes later this week.
Seedorf said: "I don't imagine any upheaval. It will be less of an impact than leagues were on the World Cup. The favourites prepared quickly, and Germany, Belgium and Argentina struggled at the start.
“Milan have more experience playing important matches and are solid. I believe they will shorten the gap. Milan's good fortune is to have re-established, especially with (Paolo) Maldini, a winning culture."
Seedorf admits he is seeking a return to management.
“Yeah, I expected an offer from Serie A and I'm disappointed I didn't receive one. I remain open, I would like to coach again but it is certainly not a problem."
