Samir Nasri has revealed that he prefers Riyad Mahrez to Liverpool's Mohamed Salah and would rather play alongside the Man City star.
Following a year in which he spent adapting to Pep Guardiola's style of play, Mahrez is enjoying a brilliant season at the Etihad.
The 28-year-old has bagged six goals and 10 assists so far this season with his best performance coming against his former club Leicester City on Saturday.
Teaming up with Kevin De Bruyne down the right-flank, Mahrez was unstoppable with his mesmerising bag of tricks and he scored the crucial equaliser.
Salah is also enjoying a terrific season with his 13 goals and seven assists helping fire Liverpool to the top of the Premier League table and surely towards winning the trophy for the first time in their history.
Both are undeniably brilliant players but former City midfielder Nasri has revealed he'd love to play alongside the Algerian.
“Between Mahrez and Salah, I would prefer to work alongside Mahrez," the Frenchman told Le Buteur, via TribalFootball.
"Why? Because he is Algerian and I also like his style of play.
"Mahrez is a collective player, while Salah is much more an individual player. He only aspires to score goals. I wouldn't say Salah is selfish, but he runs behind goals and statistics.
"Mahrez, meanwhile, you can play one-two with him. He is a player with whom you can easily develop."

I don't blame Ronaldo. He think laliga is easy league because he was lucky to have players who were all round him and sacrificed their ego and played for him to score. Today he doesn't have that caliber of players even if he have them they will not be ready to sacrifice their ego for him and he said seria a is difficult. Let him go back to Manchester and let's see if he can score 30 goals in a season.

Well thats the way it works for every player! With all due respect he is a former city player and if you ask the same question to Stevie G or Xabi Alonso, they will pick Salah over any other player.

He forgets that he was banned for doping... That is why he is such a flop, even Manchester City disregarded him so badly... 😳😳🤣🤣
