Ramon Calderon has claimed that Cristiano Ronaldo made the decision to leave Manchester United for Real Madrid way back in December 2008, 24 hours prior to a crunch Premier League game.
The former Real president has made the claim in a bid to prove that he was behind the Portuguese's capture, not current chief Florentino Perez.
Ronaldo became the most expensive player in world football when he departed Old Trafford in the summer of 2009.
Calderon told El Confidencial when asked if he was behind the deal: "Yes.
"It is not that I think about it every day, but Florentino Perez insists on attributing the honour.
"Recently he said on the radio, again, that Cristiano Ronaldo was the best signing of his mandate.
"It is not true. Cristiano Ronaldo is signed by Pedja Mijatovic and I , and I have brought some documents, which I have never shown publicly, to prove this once and for all.”
The document is alleged to show that Ronaldo signed an agreement with Real on December 12, 2008, before United and Tottenham played out a goalless draw.
One document, apparently signed by Ronaldo, reads: "Through this letter, I informed you that I have an agreement with my current club to transfer my federative and economic rights to Real Madrid, which attached as an annex to this letter also expressed my will and irrevocable decision to play in Real Madrid since the season and my also irrevocable commitment to accept the transfer of my federative and economic rights to Real Madrid as long as it accepts the conditions specified in the document attached as annex II."

Till seems like yesterday CR7 was signed but, just look within 9years he's scored 451 goals, more than his appearance with Real Madrid. And he left without even a full stadium of Santiago bernabue send off or even a statue made of his history with the club, after everything his shirt was giving to a low footballer with no sign of world class in him. Such a pity CR7, I apologies on Madrid behave

It was one my Saddest Moments when left Real without a send-off. He gave everything for us , but we didn't give him a proper goodbye. And somewhere I feel like we Madridistas failed him .
