England's Euro 2020 campaign is balancing on a knife edge ahead of their highly-anticipated clash against Germany in the last-16.
The Three Lions will look to avoid exiting in the first knockout round at Wembley on Tuesday evening, but standing in their way are the three-time winners and fierce rivals Germany.
With just hours to go until kick-off between the two titans, Sportsmail's experts including Jamie Redknapp, Steph Houghton, Peter Crouch and Chris Sutton have given their predictions for how the match will unfold.
JAMIE REDKNAPP
England boast a squad full of exciting players. They don’t want to crash out having scored only two goals.
I want to see a side ready to go for it against Germany. Gareth Southgate didn’t use any Chelsea or Manchester City players in his Euros warm-ups.
They could make up half the team tonight and their extra energy should come in handy if an additional 30 minutes is required.
My prediction is 90 minutes to end at 1-1 and an England victory in extra-time.
PREDICTION: England win after extra-time
STEPH HOUGHTON
The question is whether Gareth Southgate matches up formations, in a 3-5-2 like Germany, or sticks to the way we’ve been playing.
Against the Czechs, especially the first 45 minutes, we played our best football of the tournament.
That bodes well and I think we can repeat that if we can deal with the pressure. Germany have a lot of talent but they’ve only shown glimpses.
England will edge it.
PREDICTION: 1-0 to England
PETER CROUCH
I have a strong feeling we are going to take off like we did at the World Cup three years ago and the country is desperate to get behind the team.
It’s going to be tight but I believe Harry Kane will score his first of the tournament and we’ll go to the quarter-finals.
PREDICTION: 2-1 to ENGLAND
CHRIS SUTTON
If Germany are to dominate possession - like they have in each of their Euro 2020 group games, including against world champions France - then that could suit England.
We have players who could do damage on the counter-attack, especially if Gareth Southgate feels inclined to select someone like Marcus Rashford.
The Germans have been inconsistent at this tournament. They're an unpredictable bunch under Joachim Low.
But I've got this feeling - this awful feeling in the pit of my stomach - that they will step up their game at Wembley. I think we'll see a score-draw, followed by 30 minutes of nail-biting anguish then a penalty shootout.
And when it comes to shooting from 12 yards, we all know how that usually ends... Prove me wrong please, England!
PREDICTION: 2-2 draw, Germany to win on penalties

they will not even reach extra time, when German will take them like brazil an Latvia mark my words. the English pple talk too much, so arrogant as modric put it. As far football is concerned, there is no expert in the area of prediction, however england will be the next brazil an Latvia as I said earlier on.
