England will make regular checks on Ademola Lookman following the promising winger's £22.5million move to Germany.
The forward has completed his switch to Red Bull Leipzig from Everton to become the latest English talent to move to the Bundesliga, following the likes of Jadon Sancho and Reiss Nelson.
And the FA will jet representatives out to Germany on a regular basis to ensure senior team manager Gareth Southgate is kept updated on his progress.
Lookman is highly-regarded at St George's Park and was tipped to break into the senior set-up last season but found his first-team opportunities limited under Marco Silva, making just three Premier League starts.
But Southgate hopes the prospect of regular senior football will help propel the 21-year-old into contention for a first senior call-up.
Sancho's decision to leave Manchester City for Borussia Dortmund in 2017 raised eyebrows but the youngster used the move to showcase his talent helping him become a fixture in Southgate's squad.
The FA made regular checks on Sancho during his opening months in Germany - then technical director Dan Ashworth making personal visits to the forward.
And there is hope within the England set-up that Lookman can use his move to Germany to help him break into the senior set-up.
Meanwhile, Charlton, Lookman's former club, stand to earn close to £2million from the forward's move to RB Leipzig as part of the deal that took him to Goodison Park in 2017.

Good. Too many other countries (mainly Wales, Scotland and Ireland) try and claim our players just because they visited once on holiday. Rice was born and raised in England. He'd never lived in Ireland. He spoke with an English accent and lives and works in England. How he ever was classed as "Irish" was ridiculous! But...but...but..but.... Sterling.... Sterling moved to England as a child before anyone knew he was good at football and was raised here. If Rice had been raised in Ireland since age 3 or 4 then fair enough, BUT HE'S NEVER EVEN LIVED IN IRELAND!
