Monaco midfielder Cesc Fabregas has played with a host of superb players during his career when his spells with Arsenal, Barcelona and Chelsea, as well as his appearances for Spain, are taken into account.

The 31-year-old took to Twitter to reveal his best XI of the players he played with, although he admitted to it being hastily assembled.

Fabregas elected for legendary Spain goalkeeper Iker Casillas in goal, with his defence comprised of Dani Alves, John Terry, Gerard Pique and Jordi Alba.

In midfield Fabregas chose Patrick Vieira and Andres Iniesta, with Lionel Messi and Eden Hazard out wide.

Meanwhile, he went for Diego Costa and Thierry Henry up front.

There were some notable omissions from Fabregas' team, not least Dennis Bergkamp.

Fabregas stated that he left the Dutchman out as he played more effectively with Costa.

Carles Puyol, David Villa, Xavi, Sergio Busquets, Robert Pires, Ashley Cole and Robin Van Persie are among the other significant names that weren't included.

Fabregas himself wrote on Twitter that he felt Puyol and Villa should have been included but there wasn't sufficient space for them.
