Cesc Fabregas has responded to an Arsenal fan who called him a snake for patting the Chelsea badge during his time at the club.
Fabregas has hit back at a fan who hinted at disloyalty because the Spaniard once kissed the Chelsea badge while at the club.
The Spaniard made a name at Arsenal as a top midfielder and went on to become the club’s youngest ever captain.
After fine display upon display, many touted Fabregas to remain at the club through the span of his career and grow to be a club legend like many other Arsenal greats.
It looked like it was going to happen but alas it didn’t. The 32-year-old now plays for Monaco but made a shock move to Barcelona in 2011 before making a shock return to the Premier League with Chelsea in 2014.
Fabregas is clearly still attached to Arsenal, frequently commenting on their matches, and will appear on a fan podcast next week to discuss his time at the north London club.
However, not every Arsenal fan has forgiven him for leaving, with one writing on Twitter that “this snake throws our club under the bus with insane levels of snakery” and referring to a time when he patted the Chelsea badge at the Emirates.
Fabregas was being subbed off when Arsenal fans booed and jeered his departure. He then patted the badge but has claimed he was gesturing to his heart, underlining how much he still cared for Arsenal.
‘If you think I’m capable of doing what you are suggesting I did, you don’t know me at all and my feelings towards all of you whatsoever,’ he posted on his Twitter account.

I believe Cesc Fàbregas is a true professional and would love every club he has been a part of. He might love some clubs more than others but that's just his personal feelings and we should respect that. I'm sure he still loves Arsenal where he was managed under one of the greatest ever managers in history. He will be forever grateful to them and Barcelona for helping him become the player he is today. I don't think he has disrespected Arsenal in the way they're making it out to be. He loves Chelsea too where he emerged as a PL Champion and won a fair number of trophies with us. I'm sure he's grateful at the opportunity he's getting at the twilight of his career at Monaco. There's respect overall at every club. Fans just need to calm down.
