According to Bild journalist Christian Falke, Liverpool, Arsenal and Man United are monitoring Lennart Karl because of some uncertainty surrounding the player's future in Munich.
Earlier, Bayern's honorary president Uli Hoeneß made some noteworthy comments. He said he would speak privately with the attacker about his off-field behavior.
Premier League Clubs May See Lennart Karl as a Transfer Opportunity
Bayern's internal stance is clear: they want to keep the young player and continue developing him at the Allianz Arena.
However, that will not stop clubs like Liverpool, Arsenal and Man United from keeping track of developments and looking for potential opportunities.
"Of course, Premier League clubs are also following the relevant reports from Germany. I heard that Arsenal, Liverpool and Man United have all taken note of some of the situations surrounding Lennart Karl," Christian Falke told CF Bayern Insider.
"Ultimately, when a player attends the Ballon d'Or ceremony and finishes fourth in the Kopa Trophy rankings (behind Zaïre-Emery, Pau Cubarsí and Lamine Yamal), he naturally attracts interest from other clubs. As a result, clubs have already called to ask about his situation, wanting to know whether the young German is having any problems in Munich and whether anyone is not completely satisfied with him.
"His value is 60 million euros (approximately £50.1 million), which is well within reach for Premier League clubs. Things are starting to get interesting. So far, there have been no talks about a contract extension. He signed a professional contract at the age of 18, which runs until 2029 (the same expiry date as Olise's contract). We therefore still need to see how the upcoming contract negotiations develop.
"Lennart Karl handled Uli Hoeneß's comments very professionally and performed excellently in the DFB-Pokal victory over Magdeburg. Ultimately, given the team's current injury problems, Bayern really need him."
Man United's Need for Karl Is the Most Urgent
Of the three clubs mentioned, Man United arguably have the greatest need for a player like Karl.
There is currently significant doubt over the future of Bruno Fernandes, United's key playmaker and number 10. Furthermore, United do not appear to have a reliable player who can replace Bryan Mbeumo on the right wing.
However, one point is worth emphasizing: if Karl joins Man United, he will leave Bundesliga champions Bayern for Old Trafford, and a club where, frankly, the internal situation is a mess.
The future of the head coach's position is unclear, and from top to bottom, the club culture still has many problems.
Karl might get more playing time, but at what cost?
