Manchester City fans have been handed the chance to own a little bit of history after Pep Guardiola put his iconic cardigan up for auction.

The Spaniard donned the £1,200 hoodie, created by Italian designer Herno, on 30 occasions last season, including the FA Cup final against Watford.

The sight of Pep punching the air in his grey jumper became a familiar one as the campaign wore on, and he has now given one lucky supporter the chance to claim it as part of a charity raffle.

As part of a Charity Stars movement, Guardiola is raising funds for City in the Community Foundation, the club's local charity that works to deliver health and education programmes across Greater Manchester.

A $5 dollar donation, or £4, will be enough to get one entry into the draw, but there are added incentives to donate more.

Ten entries at £39 will guarantee the fan a City polo shirt, while 20 at £79 will earn them a pair of player issued shorts.

Thirty entries at £118 and a presentation jacket is also yours, along with a chance to win the grand prize.

Putting up the garment for auction, Guardiola wrote in the blog: 'I’m very excited to share something with you to celebrate the Premier League victory!

'I've decided to donate the grey cashmere hoodie that I've worn for match days throughout the 2018/19 season!

'Want to be in with a chance of winning? All you have to do is help me support the incredible work of the Club’s charity, City in the Community Foundation.'
