There is little love lost between Barcelona and Real Madrid.
But Croatia team-mates Luke Modric and Ivan Rakitic were able to put the heated rivalry to one side at the Nou Camp on Wednesday night.
As Modric waited on the sidelines to make his entrance in the second-half, Rakitic decided to greet him.
Despite it being scoreless in the top of the table clash, and only 10 minutes left to go, Rakitic embraced his compatriot and the pair gave each other a kiss on the cheek.
The moment was enjoyed by fans across social media.
Modric wrote: 'When kissing your best friend is more important than playing the Clasico. Rakitic, I feel you.'
Rakitic claimed afterwards he had the better of his close friend on the pitch.
'Modric? I told him at the end that I had kept him on a leash. Sometimes we joke together', he said.
And he shared a picture of them together on Twitter after the game, alongside the caption: 'Once again we played the biggest game, with a lot of fighting, but always with you, brother.'
Barca and Real remain locked on 36 points each at the top of La Liga after 17 games.
Barcelona host Alaves on Saturday and Madrid entertain Athletic Bilbao on Sunday night.
