Michael Oliver and David Coote were involved in another VAR controversy on Monday night as the officials appeared to miss Raul Jimenez kicking out at Robin Koch.
In the closing minutes of Wolves' victory over Leeds at Elland Road, match-winner Jimenez appeared to lash out at the Whites defender but the incident was not spotted by the on-pitch referee Coote.
VAR official Oliver also chose not to penalise the Wolves striker for the apparent kick-out.
Both Oliver and Coote were the officials who looked at Jordan Pickford's lunge at Virgil van Dijk in Saturday's Merseyside derby between Liverpool and Everton but chose not to act on the dangerous tackle.
Fans on social media were livid that Jimenez was not sanctioned for the kick on Koch and took to Twitter to express their anger at the call.
One fan took aim at Oliver in the VAR booth, saying: 'How’s Raul Jimenez not took a RED card for that kick then? Premier League VAR is finished.'
Another supporter said: 'Someone wanna try and explain how Jimenez didn’t get a red there? I’ve been all for VAR since it came in but it’s becoming a joke now #FPL'
One fan claimed: 'Jimenez got lucky with that kick out at Koch. VAR now allowing players to attempt to kick opposition in the b******* as long as they don’t hit the target.'
Some supporters compared the incident to Son Heung-Min's red card against Chelsea last December, where the South Korean winger was deemed to have intentionally struck defender Antonio Rudiger in an off-the-ball incident.
A fan tweeted: 'Jimenez kicks out, VAR looks and decides nothing to see here. Heung Min Son gets sent off for the same crime. No point in VAR if it can't be relied upon. '
Another said: 'Son did the exact same thing last year and got a red card for it. Jimenez should be off. VAR is a joke'
Jimenez had already put Wolves in front in the 70th minute as his strike took a big deflection off Kalvin Phillips and past Illan Meslier in the Leeds goal.
Earlier on Monday, Oliver was appointed as the on-field match official for Bayern Munich's match against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday night, which is one of the high-profile fixtures in the first round of Champions League group fixtures this week.
On Saturday, the referee - along with Coote in the VAR chair at Stockley Park - was slammed by supporters for ignoring Everton goalkeeper Pickford's reckless challenge on Liverpool's van Dijk.
It was revealed on Monday that the shot stopper will not receive any retrospective action for the challenge as both Oliver and Coote had recognised the incident in their post-match report to the FA.
It has since been announced that van Dijk will miss most of the season with an anterior cruciate ligament injury.

Michael Oliver is blind as bat, haven't seen a more inept referee. Kick him out of the federation.
