Social media is filled with praise for Lionel Messi every day, but the Barcelona star gave fans yet another reason to go into overdrive on Sunday.
In a routine win for Barcelona against Girona in La Liga, Messi scored his team's second goal to put the result beyond any doubt in the 68th minute.
After receiving a pass in lots of space, Messi took a touch and then lifted the ball over the onrushing goalkeeper with a finish we've seen him do countless times before.
Even though fans have become accustomed to Messi's sublime finishing, it never becomes any less impressive.
'Magician!!' Said one Twitter user, while another commented: 'Scoop, dink, chip... call it whatever. Leo's still the king of it.'
Others referred to Messi as the GOAT, the Greatest Of All Time, with a couple of clever pictures. One depicted Messi celebrating with a goat's head photoshopped onto his own, while another showed a mock heat map in the shape of a goat.
So far in La Liga this season, Lionel Messi has scored 19 goals and racked up 10 assists in 19 matches.
He's also got six goals and an assist in four Champions League matches, as well as a goal and an assist in his single Copa del Rey game.
With the win over Girona, Barcelona keep their healthy lead at the top of La Liga, where they're ahead of Atletico Madrid by five points.
Rivals Real Madrid are a further five points back in third place.

This goal would be among the goals of the season with any other player, but with Leo it won’t be remembered for long and will just fade away. That’s how high his standards are, that’s how good he is. He has scored so many similar goals that are actually incredibly hard to score.

Perfectly timed, and brilliantly finished. Messi did it again for all to see. Coutinho could have done the same in the second half when he received a sublime pass from Suarez. Pity it wasn't Messi there. Coutinho played poorly in the past consecutive games. But I hope he'll be back to his best in the following matches.

Messi took a heavy first touch and then I felt he had screwed it, then he measures a well lobbed ball and the look on the girona defender tracking back says it all. What class, what awareness, what a goal. The greatest now has scored in 7consecutive games.
