FANS in the Tottenham end applauded and did the Poznan as their team conceded a goal to Manchester City - knowing full well it could end up denying Arsenal the title.
The amazing scenes occurred early in the second half as Spurs lost 2-0 to City at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Ange Postecoglou and Pep Guardiola watched on as their two sides played out an intriguing first 45 minutes.
Yet the game was bizarrely quiet, with Tottenham fans barely making a noise.
Pundit Gary Neville declared: "They've sent Man City to sleep."
While commentator Peter Drury reflected on the "hypnotic" atmosphere.
He said on the stroke of half-time: "It is the oddest of games. Odd particularly for its quietness."
But it was City who eventually drew first blood with a cleverly-executed goal on the counter.
Some sloppy play from Spurs saw Kevin De Bruyne beat the offside trap and latch onto the ball.
He then fed a glorious pass across the box, with the ball finding Erling Haaland before being delicately put into the back of Tottenham's net.
The goal sent City's travelling fans wild, with a win putting the champs back above Arsenal into top spot.
But they weren't the only ones left jubilant by Haaland's effort.
Some supporters in the Tottenham end were also seeing celebrating City's goal.
Home fans were left torn before kick-off over whether to support their own club, knowing a result would make Arsenal title favourites on the final day of the season.
But some clearly weren't bothered about rooting for City, with a few even spotted doing the Etihad club's 'Poznan' dance.
Viewers at home were tickled by the scenes, with many taking to X as a result.
One said: "Lmao the Tottenham fans are really celebrating Man City scoring against their team just cuz they donβt want rival Arsenal to win the league lmao love to see it."
Another declared: "They're happy I love them."
One noted: "Lol I don't believe this."
Another added: "Spurs fans having the best day of their lives in the stands."
Following Haaland's goal, Tottenham upped the intensity in their attempts to bag an equaliser.
And they very nearly made it 1-1 when Son Heung-min broke through clear on goal, only to shoot the ball straight at onrushing sub goalie Stefan Ortega.
Spurs' hopes were then ended late on when they gave away a penalty, which Haaland converted with aplomb for 2-0.
Ironically, as some Tottenham supporters got behind City on Tuesday, almost every Arsenal fan was rooting for Spurs to seal victory.
Loyal Gooner and Sun columnist Piers Morgan led the way as he shared a throwback snap of himself looking mightily unhappy in a Tottenham shirt.
While Arsenal star Kai Havertz admitted he would be the "biggest fan of Tottenham."

Manchester City should be ashame of herself, can't win on her own strength but waiting for Tottenham to intentionally lose. Imagine a team that had never score on the Tottenham Stadium, all of a sudden scored there. Never had Son missed a one-on-one, but he did in that match. Look at Man City first Goal, the keeper intentionally allow the ball to pass, I don't even want to talk about Debruyne being offside. The Penalty awarded is even the worse......Match-fixing for Oil Money 115 FFP.

Just so that Arsenal doesn't win the league, Spurs fans are applauding Man City??? I hope they realize that the club just lost UCL opportunity. Meanwhile, Arsenal will be playing UCL next season.
I can't blame them tbh , they're biggest achievements in the past 20 years was us no winning the league and them finishing above us. they're so shameless

What about if Man City draw/lose against the HAMMERS whilst Arsenal win the toffees (Everton)and Spurs lost to the blades (Sheffield) whilst both Chelsea and New Castle both collected maximum points against their opponents and Spurs end out Europa qualification????ππππ and the Gunnerz crowns as the EPL champion ππππ

Chelsea of POCHETINO needs new touch. Only if football fans can just take reality as reality and how I wish Chelsea FC can have the pattern of Real Madrid. Those who say Robbery or VAR about Madrid are either having a bad season with their club or hating. When a team knows how to win games and trophies you should respect & celebrate the Team. Real Madrid is a great team that keep up their Great Best management, great signings, best scouts, best Coach and always get the Best among players. And that get them Good Success with trophies. Some Clubs have money but lack most of these Ingredients that make a great club while some clubs have dreams for t that buy they don't have enough money to achieve the Goals.

This is actually ridiculous in football. Rival fans would rather see their team lose than to see their rivals win a title? This is enmity, nor just rivalry. I don't really understand it. Although I am happy Man City is on course to win it.
Arsenal in this case but this is valid for all other teams should win the title with merits and not to expect a βdonationβ from other teams. Manchester City is deserving this trophy π with outstanding performances
