Moises Caicedo is quickly becoming a big hit among Chelsea fans, with some supporters taking to social media following their 3-0 win against Luton on Friday night.
He made his full debut for the club after Mauricio Pochettino's side broke the British transfer record to sign the Ecuador international for £115million from Brighton.
While he missed out on making his Premier League debut for the side during their 1-1 draw against Liverpool, Caicedo came on in the 61st minute against Luton, but endured a debut to forget, giving away a penalty in the dying embers of their 3-1 defeat.
But his manager has stuck by him, and while he did look a little nervous in front of his home fans at the start, he settled into the game and went on to tally up a passing accuracy of 96.8 per cent
Defensively, Caicedo cut out several Luton attacks during the match, cutting out several passes with some brilliant interception play.
And while Raheem Sterling was the player of the match of, the 21-year-old midfielder has been receiving plenty of praise from fans online.
One wrote: 'Caicedo’s performance isn’t talked about well enough, dude has been makes interceptions look so simple…the best DM in the world!!'
While another added: 'Caicedo looked imperious tonight. I watched him closely. He reads the game so well. Doesn’t hardly give the ball away. Makes great tackles and runs tirelessly. He’ll get better and better.'
'The football casuals won’t say much about Caicedo however I am a football expert and I absolutely salute that performance,' another said.
'I love the way caicedo grew into the game and adapted quickly. I have no doubt that this boy will surely ball for Chelsea!'
