With Jurgen Klopp running around on the pitch after Divock Origi's last-minute winner in the Merseyside derby, it's understandable you might have missed Xherdan Shaqiri's celebration.

The Switzerland international was substituted in the Reds' 1-0 win over their bitter rivals on Sunday but eagle-eyed Liverpool fans didn't miss the 27-year-old's reaction.

When Origi headed in his bizarre goal, Shaqiri stood up from the bench, lifted his coat in the air and threw it on the chair in front of him.

The former Stoke City player already seems to be a crowd favourite since his £13 million move in the summer but his celebration has seemed to enhance his reputation.

One Reds fan wrote: 'Shaqiri is just the right amount of crazy.'

While another Liverpool supporter compared Shaqiri to a fictional superhero.

They wrote: 'Shaqiri with his best Hulk smash celebration.'

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has been seen throwing and kicking objects on the touchline, including throwing a bottle crate against Young Boys last week.

One fan thought Shaqiri's reaction was very similar to the Portuguese boss' antics.

The supporter said: 'Moreno and Salah hugging each other, Shaqiri doing a "Mourinho" and throws his jacket, Klopp and his staff celebrating, James Milner doesn’t looked arsed.'

The Liverpool forward has often been used as an internet meme in the past including an incident where he pointed his finger at one of Jurgen Klopp's staff at Melwood.

A Reds fan thought this latest video is set to go viral.

They said: 'Shaqiri is so meme material.'

Shaqiri will be hoping to keep his place when Liverpool face Burnley on Wednesday at Turf Moor.
