Fans notice Mbappe 'flirting with Liverpool' with Salah Instagram exchange

Liverpool fans backing the club to sign Kylian Mbappe in 2020 believe the French superstar is "flirting" with the Reds on social media.

Mbappe has fuelled links to Liverpool with his social media activity in the past, including following several players last summer weeks after placing his long-term Paris Saint-Germain future in doubt.

The hashtag "Mbappe2020" trended on Twitter just hours after the club won a court case against New Balance to open the door to Mbappe's sponsors, Nike, becoming their kit suppliers in a big-money deal.

And fans believe the World Cup winner is now sending a message in return after he was spotted "liking" Mohamed Salah's latest Instagram post.

The Egyptian ace bagged the winner in Sunday's 2-1 win over Tottenham and shared a photo of his celebration with Jordan Henderson, captioned with a simple red button.

It was quickly noticed and posted online, with a Reddit user stating: "Mbappe2020. He is flirting back with us."

Comments from other fans included one so confident they stated "It's already confirmed" with another asking "are you not entertained?".
