Mike Dean has never been one to keep a low profile and the referee caught the attention of fans once again during Manchester City's victory over Chelsea on Sunday.
Pep Guardiola's men dominated from start to finish, acquiring a four-goal lead after just 25 minutes.
The wait for a fifth goal ended in the second half when Dean pointed to the spot following Cesar Azpilicueta's foul on Raheem Sterling.
However, it was the manner in which he pointed to the spot that had fans raising their eyebrows.
The 50-year-old looked as if he was pulling off a move that belonged in an 80s disco as he held his pose for far longer than necessary.
Fans watching quickly took to social media to express their thoughts, some ridiculing the theatrics and others showing their appreciation.
'He's 50 so we should enjoy these final few years of one of the league's greatest ever performers,' joked one while another labelled it a 'Saturday night fever penalty decision'.

Chelsea Board deserve what they're getting now. They sacked a coach that won 2 trophies in two seasons and replaced him with a trophyless coach in his whole managerial career. What do u expect? Shambolic results! Though Conte has his own problem with players management like Mourinho, the Board could come in and reconcile him the players he was having issues with, especially Luiz, Costa and William. This Sarri is the worst coach Chelsea ever had. Stubborn, tactless, no idea of EPL games and polluting the environment during games. I'm too sure he'll end up the season worst than he met Chelsea. Sarri ball is now Sarri sorrow!
