Bruno Fernandes says he shushed Pep Guardiola after the Man City manager showed him a lack of respect during Manchester United's derby win last weekend.
Fernandes insists it is not something he would do again, but admits he has no regrets after he claims he was shown a lack of respect by the City manager.
"I talked about this with some friends and some people think 'Pep won everything, who is Bruno to diss him?', but I think it is about respect," Fernandes told Sky Sports.
"Now, I think outside of the pitch I don't do this again if I am on the pitch now. But, at that moment the words he told me made me mad, and on the pitch I am a little bit nervous, it is the kind of player I am.
"I have respect for Pep and what he won, and what he did for football because he changed some mentalities in football.
"But, at that moment he didn't deserve my respect at that moment on the pitch."

Well respect goes both ways if Pep can't respect opposition players why should they respect him and also applies in life respect me and I will respect you...

this is not about United or city......it is clear to see dat city is still a better team but this is about two individuals......one felt disrespected by the other and he reacted has you would or another person and that happens to be Bruno. so you saying he is feeling high is you not being civilzed. he is not better than Bernardo in the EPL "yet" doesn't mean, he as no right to retaliate when he felt disrespected. Pep is a great manager , if not d greatest but we don't know if he is a great person. pls someone doesn't need to insult for them to be disrespectful, besides we don't knw if he did but if actually he did you don't expect Bruno to swallow it jst because it is pep i. So u saying Ronaldo would come up to you and slap you and you would walk away because it was Ronaldo. pls you have something called self-respect.

Pep is a great coach but a bad man he did the same to Cristiano back at Madrid he is soo chaldish and thinks he is God ...Never have I seen Jose Zizu or Klop disrespect opponents players on the pitch ...cry baby no matter what he has achieved he can be more respectfully to whoever no matter their position in the world football or society at large ..Ancellolti achieved alot and his respect is beyond doubt ...soo pathetic from a man like him
