Ferran Torres given David Silva's No.21 shirt at Manchester City

Ferran Torres has some pretty big shoes to fill at Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola's new signing will wear the No.21 shirt at the Etihad Stadium, which was left by David Silva when he departed earlier this summer.

Coincidentally, both players have Valencia connections and both decided that City would be the best option to further their careers as young players.

"Silva was always an inspiration to me," Ferran said upon arriving in England.

"When I started out at Valencia, Silva was in his prime at the club and I kept admiring him when he went to City and he played his best football."

Ferran will have to wait before he can make his City bow after being called up by Luis Enrique for Spain's September internationals.
