Flick admits there'll be a Bayern exodus as Liverpool 'prepare Thiago approach'

Hansi Flick has admitted that Bayern Munich will 'lose some players who have tremendous quality'.

Despite winning the Champions League, Bayern's squad could be rather different next season, with Liverpool target Thiago Alcantara amongst those who could depart.

In addition, Ivan Perisic is set to return to Inter Milan following the conclusion of his loan spell, while Philippe Coutinho is heading back to Barcelona.

Bayern Munich boss Flick told Die Zeit: '[We will] lose some players who have tremendous quality, we have to deal with that.

'If I could continue to work with this squad, that would be nice, but that is not the case.'

Flick's comments come as Liverpool are preparing to make an approach for Thiago in the coming days, according to SportBILD.

Thiago is into the final year of his contract at Bayern and Liverpool are looking to add more creativity to their side.

Bayern value Thiago at £29million, but it remains to be seen whether Liverpool will meet their asking price.

Given their interest in Thiago, Liverpool have no plans to offer Georginio Wijnaldum, who is out of contract next summer, a new deal as things stand.

Liverpool have made just one signing so far in this transfer window, bringing in left-back Kostas Tsimikas from Olympiacos.
