this is a tough choice but please this is my unbiased choice. I go for pique. Ramos and pique are undoubtedly two World class defenders that can be difficult to differentiate. but the later has a quality I don't think is always loved and necessary for a defender. Ramos has a strong character that pique doesn't have. we all know that. he can do anything for his team. even what will cause controversies. and that's exactly my problem. he often finds himself often overtaken by attackers and in that case, he hurts the person involved and goes for either a yellow or red. that's how he does his defense which is not common with other legends. many other legendary defenders had the tactical skills so much so that the moment you are able to overtake them, the job is done. which was something difficult to do in the first place. pique on the other hand, is a simple defender. the day he plays his best football you admire it a lot. now his own problem is his mouth and action which doesn't affect his playing style but his acknowledgement. he often gets involved in a lot of externally controversial things that make him often underlooked. but we all see from statistics that he is a very good defender. technically and physically. yes he has done a lot of on field controversies like gravious handballs and faults but that doesn't occur often. whereas Ramos has already broken all possible booking records which is something I for one doesn't admire. puyol didn't need that to be great, Paolo maldini neither. he is good but that aspect is not the best for a defender. looking at things on the trophy point of view, it's also coincidental that pique has more titles than ramos so in case that is counted, then +1 for pique there, and on the other hand Ramos is a better goal scorer than pique( though mostly penalties but I still respect that cuz not every one can take them like he does ), so if that has to be a point +1 for Ramos. all those stats just make me chose pique over Ramos but the truth is they are both defender goats

If you mean whoes better at defending thats very easy to answer ,Pique unassailably is the better one !But if you mean whos better at wrestling and red cardings ,it's definitely has to be the one the only one the Ramossss !!!

Personally I think pique is underrated, cause he defends with his life and still avoids red cards or even yellows most times On the other hand Ramos prefers to do the defending in a simpler way, which is to just foul that opponent which is very unprofessional of him

These two r legends of the game n both have won everything in football but it's also easier to compare both n rate who is the best especially bc they play in the same league...To know who is better just check their head-to-head stats n u will know is better... PIQUE A PHENOMENAL 👏👏👏

For me, it’s Ramos. It’s only his attitude sometimes that cause him troubles otherwise he is a complete player. A captain who never gives up, who is great at headers and off course perfect in defending. Pique on the other hand is also a wonderful defender but yes with great attitude. The difference in their attitude often make Ramos look evil in the eyes of neutral fans but honestly in defending he is better.

The same style but pique is a little better in term of many areas. Plush he is not famous with red card and haters. He can choose to be line Ramos , beast and aggressive but that’s how wonderful football is for pique.

Ramos is definitely the best ... comparing Ramos with pique is an insult to Ramos 😂🤣 2-3 bad games doesn't mean you compare a lion with a dog....pique is nothing more than a admin..he makes controversial statements and mixes politics with football ...he isnt a good leader....Ramos has all the qualities of a good player and leader that's why he is the captain of Spain .

I don't consider Defender who kicks oponents legs to get advantages as a best defender.Football is a game not a Chinese/Thai kungfu and Ramos is a good footballer who defend well, has a heading skill & ability to score lots of penalty.But he's acting like he is in Chinese action drama. So i'll go for a well desciplined player Gerrard Pque who conquered the love of the world and World football governing body FIFA.

Pique very loyal and respectful he is the heart of defend you could see in the international sight of Spain after pique took retirement the defence was bit sloppy and struggled.

Word defender comes from defend which means to save. At first defenders main objective is to save rather than score. In terms of defending and understanding game's plan and tactics pique is better. Ramos has all the attributes to b the best but his attitude always harms his own team. He misses important matches due to suspension. Ramos is faster, stronger and better in scoring but pique is master in clearing, sliding and postional play and rarely misses any game due to his disciplined defending. I'd rather chose varane than ramos.

When we talk about football it is the overall performance on the pitch. Sergio Ramos is a very good defender, scores with the head, strengthens the back and above all a great athlete. Pique on the other hand possess similar qualities to that of Ramos. The difference is that Ramos sometimes play dirty football, sorry to say but he sometimes get unprofessional on the field and one wonders whether its actually football or kick boxing

I am more aligned to Barca but Ramos is the best defender in the world. The only thing that i like in Ramos is his dedication towards his team. He is prepared to go to all lengths to make sure that his team wins. I literally hate it when he injures people but he is the better defender...

How anyone can say that Ramos is better than Pique?Ramos is a that kind of player who keeps his team always in danger.Specially in el clasico.Recently,it is proved by Ajax match in Amsterdam and Real Madrid are knocked out in UCL.

i thing both are good ramos has certain qualities like pace agility leadership and mainly do anything for the team to win on other side pique has extradinary physique which is needed to defendstrong strikers motivating the team at tough period when team is losing where ramos goes with lot of cards so i think both have to be given equal importance. i had seen ramos getting hitted by strikers and midfeilders how are physically strong whereas many attackers runs pass pique easily

What do we consider when we chose who is better! To be a good player you need to possess a lot of qualities.People judge players according to achievements but I tend to differ a little bit. Giroud won the World cup with France but doesnt make him a better striker than Lewandowsky who did not go past the first round.Harry Maguire is one of the best defenders in the EPL but never won anything significant yet. Everyone will agree with me that he is a better defender that for example David Luiz who have won premier league, Champions league and Europa league.

If Ramos is a better defender than Pique why is that Madrid concede double of goals than Barca every season. For me Pique is more intelligent than Ramos, Ramos is more aggressive and some time miscalculate the intent of the opponent.
