Fans have flocked to Niclas Fullkrug's Wikipedia page following his goal-scoring cameo in Germany's 1-1 draw with Spain, and found a page full of bizarre and amusing facts about the striker.

The Werder Bremen hitman was earning only his third cap for the German national team when he entered the fray as a second half substitute in the mammoth Group E clash on Sunday night, but smashed home the equaliser seven minutes from time.

Being somewhat of unknown quantity, fans headed to his Wikipedia page to swot up on the 29-year-old and were met with some fascinating facts on Fullkrug under the 'Personal Life' heading.

Here, fans learned that not only does the German No 9 have a wife named Lisa, but he also regularly listens to Survivor's classic Eye of the Tiger for motivation.

However, perhaps most bizarrely, the section also outlines the time that Fullkrug had to be hospitalised after having the tooth of a team-mate wedged in his forehead - with no other detail included on this amazing anecdote.

It's not the only teeth-related fact in the section either, you can also learn that the striker's nickname is 'Lucke', which is German for 'gap' and relates to his two front teeth.

The discovery saw fans take to Twitter to share the findings of Germany's new star, with one fan describing the page with 'Füllkrug has maybe the most unhinged Wikipedia Personal Life section I've seen in years.'

While another labelled the personal section 'Niclas Fullkrug's wiki page is something else lmao'.

One fan has championed Fullkrug's page as the best around, screen grabbing the wiki info and stating 'Germany's Niklas Fullkrug, the best "Personal life" wiki entry you will see for a footballer.'

Washington Post Journalist Ella Brockway also got in the Fullkrug act, posting 'Niclas Füllkrug: Scorer of good goals, owner of a truly fascinating Personal Life section on Wikipedia.'

Fullkrug started his career at Bremen, but made his name in the second division in Germany for first Nurnberg and then Hannover.

His goal-scoring exploits saw him return to Werder Bremen in 2019, where the club announced his re-signing for the club by simply posting an image of his 'famous' teeth.

Since his return, Fullkrug has scored 39 goals in 82 games for the German club, helping fire them back to the Bundesliga last season.

Despite his ket part in Werder Bremen's promotion, Fullkrug's salary was actually reduced by 30 per cent at the start of this season due to financial problems at the club, as revealed by BILD.

That has not stopped him scoring though, with 10 goals in 14 Bundesliga matches so far prompting his call-up to the national side and inclusion in their World Cup squad for Qatar.
