According to renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano, Lucas Vázquez is expected to leave Real Madrid following the conclusion of the Club World Cup.
The 33-year-old’s current contract expires on June 30, and he is set to sign a short-term extension to remain with the team through the tournament.
Romano reports that unless plans change, Vázquez will part ways with the club in July as a free agent. Despite the deep mutual respect and affection between the player and Real Madrid, the club’s right-back plans for next season center around Dani Carvajal and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

He wasn't a right back when he started his carrier. The trio of Morata, Asensio and Luka Vazquez were Super subs who always come in when Madrid were in difficult situation and win matches for the club. He was a right winger
