Former Arsenal midfielder Henri Lansbury revealed his passion for gardening during a bizarre post-match interview after Luton’s 2-0 win at Hull City on Friday night.
Lansbury scored a sensational goal from distance in the 44th minute of the game and celebrated by pretending to mow the lawn.
When asked about his celebration, Lansbury revealed his love for gardening and even gave his interviewer some tips on looking after his lawn.
When asked about his lawn-mowing celebration after the game, Lansbury admitted he had a passion for gardening.
The 31-year-old told Sky Sports: 'It's massive [for me]. It keeps me away from the training ground with the lads.
'I'll shout out the boys at Grass Gains [a blend of organic fertilisers], they have been crucial to this. It makes your grass nice and green.'
Fellow Luton player Carlton Morris revealed how the club's groundsman gave Lansbury his own personal section of grass to look after.
Morris praised Lansbury's abilities by saying: 'Honestly, It's like a bowls pitch! He knows his way around the garden, that's for sure.'
The Sky Sports interviewer went on to ask Lansbury for some advice on his own grass at home.
He said: 'Henri, can I just ask you about my lawn at home, as you can see we have a lot of green but there are some brown patches. What would you do?'.
Without even hesitating, Lansbury replied saying: 'Reseed it!'.
