The Brazilian midfielder is not surprised to see the Red Devils' form being questioned, with expectations sky high around a European 'giant'
Fred acknowledges that Manchester United are an easy target for critics due to their standing as a “great team”.
The Red Devils have made an inconsistent start to their 2018-19 campaign, with a narrow win over Leicester followed by a disappointing defeat to Brighton.
Uncomfortable questions have been asked of Jose Mourinho and his side, with the man in charge at Old Trafford seeing his position called into question.
Key figures such as Paul Pogba have also seen their every performance scrutinised in minute detail, with big things expected of a club with 13 Premier League titles to their name.
Fred, a £52.5 million ($67m) summer signing from Shakhtar Donetsk, appreciates that United will always be treated differently to other sides as their glittering history dictates that they have to deliver.
The Brazil international has, however, pointed out that spirits remain high inside the camp, telling ESPN: “The press likes to talk, right? But the people in the dressing room, it’s a great atmosphere.
"From what I’ve seen, since I arrived, no one has any issue with anyone inside the club - inside the locker room, on the pitch. On the contrary, it’s everyone trying to help each other.
“And it’s normal, we lose a game, people will hit us because it’s a great team, it’s a giant here in Europe. So it’s normal, they will speak.”
Fred and his United team-mates will get the opportunity to kick-start their season when they play host to Tottenham on Monday.
Mourinho has admitted heading into that contest that his side have been making too many mistakes, but the Portuguese claims to have been buoyed by pre-match efforts in training.

Point of correction to make. First, United has 20 Premier League to their name and 13 under Sir Alex. Secondly we hared that line before from other players insisting that, their is no tension in the dressing room but we know the truth from the body language of the manager. Of course Fred is a new student of Jose Mourinho and couldn't say otherwise of his new manager even at the face of a great crisis rocking the United boat so early in the campaign. The match against Brighton was a clear observation of abnormalities in the dressing room and management. On Monday, Mourinho will test a side that didn't made any significant change in their squad this season and once again, his methods will be brought under scrutiny.

Fred always impresses me when he opens his mouth. And I really hope he’s able to show the Real United fans why Jose went in for him. He works hard, plays hard and is full of energy. United we’re down and not out yet. When it starts to click, when the real leaders Matic and Valencia gets back, we will rock. I believe that!

Fred is the biggest mistake of this transfer market. Other clubs have shown how their signings are instant hit but United always needs to give players time to settle in. Lindelof is yet to settle in, Sanchez is yet to settle in, Fred is yet to settle in but Keita has settled in, Giorginho has settled in, Mahrez has settled in. Something is wrong with the Manager, his choice of players, his selection.

Fred alone nor pogba can't make the united to move alone, despite the big signing. Alexis made a statement in an interview that he expect more quality players in this transfer window . united don't have a defenceman apart from bailey, no top striker.we need players to make the united move on
