Manchester United midfielder Fred has urged his side to confirm their qualification to the last-32 of the Europa League against Partizan Belgrade on Thursday.

United's narrow 1-0 win over Partizan on October 24 leaves United top of Group L and three points clear of third-placed Partizan with just two games remaining.

Victory on Thursday will confirm United's place in the last-32 and Fred is determined to ensure his side don't slip up.

'It's important that we always go after the win,' he told ManUnited.com. 'It was a good against Partizan.

They're a quality team, they are very good, we felt, but we had a good game as well. We won 1-0 and played well.

'It'll be no different here, it's going to be a tough game as well, but we'll go for the victory against a defensive team that play on the counter-attack, a fast team.

'We have to take all the necessary precautions, but also get on the pitch and have a great game and get the win.'

If United beat Partizan it will give Ole Gunnar Solskjaer the opportunity to rest players for their final two games against AZ Alkmaar and FC Astana.

Given the club's recent spate of injuries, which has seen Luke Shaw, Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial miss a number of games, Fred admits the opportunity to rotate will be a welcome one.

'It will provide a bit of respite during the week, so the team can rest,' the 26-year-old added.

'It will also provide more opportunities for players to get a run of games, which is very important as we have a lot of games coming up and will need the entire squad, so to have already achieved qualification is important.

'With this run of games coming up, we'll be gradually putting the pieces together over these fixtures.'
