Fulham have been fined £75,000 for breaching rules following the sale of Fabio Carvalho to Liverpool in 2022, the Premier League has announced.
The Portugal youth international left Craven Cottage to join Jurgen Klopp's Reds, with Fulham then making a settlement payment to Balham Blazers, the non-league club where Carvalho had previously played.
That payment contravened Premier League registration regulations and Fulham have accepted the breach.
'The Premier League and Fulham FC have entered into a sanction agreement following the club's accepted breaches of the Premier League rules in relation to player registrations,' the league announced in a statement on Tuesday.
As well as receiving a £75,000 fine, Fulham have also been handed a suspended six-month ban from registering any academy players who have been attached to other clubs.
Carvalho is currently on loan at Hull, having made 21 appearances and scored three goals for Liverpool following his switch from west London.
