Fulham owner Shahid Khan has laughed off reports that manager Slavisa Jokanovic is set for the sack with the club languishing in the Premier League relegation zone.
The Cottagers have picked up just five points from their opening nine games of the season and the Mirror reported that Jokanovic has just two league games to save his job - against Bournemouth and Huddersfield.
Jokanovic led Fulham back to the Premier League in May and Khan insists he still has the full backing of the board as they await a return on their £100million investment in players this summer.
Writing in his programme notes ahead of the Bournemouth clash on Saturday, Khan says: 'As for the sensational and fictional headlines related to Slavisa this week, I'm equal parts amused, astonished and disappointed.
'I ask you not to belive everything you read. Or, in this case, don't belive anything you read.'
He added that his faith in Jokanovic turning things comes after Fulham recovered from a similarly poor start last year.
Khan writes: 'Optimism comes naturally knowing we have a head coach in Slavisa Jokanovic who not only understands and appreciates the honour of representing Fulham, but also the past two seasons has found the right formula with his personnel to hit our stride in time for the holidays and a strong run in the second half of the campaign.'

I would be very disappointed if this does come to pass, not just because I obviously wish Slav success, but because if it does he won't be in charge for his homecoming to the Vic in the spring, which would be rather sad. I'm sure a tifo is in the works as we speak.

They won't get him, but Khan strikes me as a man who would contact Jardim.

Do not sack the guy. It would be a real sad day for football.

Who would replace him? I'd hate to see another Allardyce again, would love a fresh face.

I actually rate a fair few of Fulham players and I do like the manager also. I think people STILL underestimate the size of the task at a newly promoted team. One thing I will say however, personally I think Tim Ream the centre back is far below the standard required and the midfielders I think it's johansen and MacDonald are also well below the required level. The Cardiff loss was awful but it's a long season and this seems a harsh decision this early on

Fulham would be the perfect team to get David Moyes’ career back on track.

Hurts me to say, but Allardyce would easily keep them up. Defence is an absolute shambles, which he could sort out. Plus the attack is decent enough that even with his negative tactics you could still score a few.

I actually like Fulham, their defence is an absolute joke, he keeps chopping and changing. Doesn't seem to have a set lineup. Going forward they are great to watch, good quality too.

If Fulham want to continue splashing the cash, I'm curious what it would take for them to see if they could peel Rafa away from Newcastle.

I'm fully expecting Fulham's form to improve markedly around the Christmas period. They need to replace Ream, imo, but sacking Jokanovic would be short-sighted and ill-advised. The potential cures (Moyes, Big Sam...) are far worse than the disease.

Please Slav, please turn this around. I can't bare the thought of Big Sam

A shame how it’s turning out. As much as I will always love him for two incredible seasons after about 4 years of misery, it’s hard to see how he can continue much longer the way he’s going - questionable team selections, no defensive cohesion at all and were on course to concede over 100 goals at this rate. It’s sad for me but I think there needs to be change, especially if we lose any of the next two :(

Khan also denies reports that he wanted to buy Wembley. And failed.
