Fulham have rejected an offer worth £22.5m from Villarreal for Cameroonian midfielder Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa.
The 24-year-old who joined the London club from Marseille in 2018, spent the last season last season on loan at the LaLiga club.
And Sky Sports News have reported that his performances impressed the Spanish club enough to put in a bid to sign him up permanently.
Anguissa was a regular for the side that finished fifth in the LaLiga table last season, scoring twice in 39 appearances.
His second goal of the season came in a crucial 4-0 win over Eibar that secured the club Europa League qualification for the upcoming campaign.
But Fulham have held firm over the midfielder who they signed for £22.3m during the 2018 summer where Fulham spent over £100m in their failed attempts to stay up in the Premier League.
Anguissa made 25 appearances during a difficult season back in the Premier League for the West London side and did not stay around for their Championship campaign.
Now back in the Premier League, it is uncertain whether manager Scott Parker has any plans for the midfielder in his team but it seems that it will take a larger offer from the Spanish side to tempt them into selling.
But Sportsmail have previously reported that Parker does not want to overhaul his squad that got Fulham back up to the top flight via the playoffs after seeing the damage that was made in 2018.
