Accra Hearts of Oak were forced to settle for yet another draw after being held to a goalless stalemate by Basake HolyStars at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium. The result marked the fourth meeting between the two sides, with the Phobians still unable to secure a victory against the Western Region-based club on their own ground.

The match took a difficult turn for Hearts of Oak when defender Asibey was shown a red card for bringing down his opponent as the last man in defence. Despite being reduced to ten men, the Phobians showed resilience and continued to dominate large spells of the game, creating a number of scoring opportunities but failing to convert their chances.

Basake HolyStars, however, had their moment in the match but were denied by the brilliance of goalkeeper Benjamin Asare. The Black Stars number one produced a timely save to prevent Hearts of Oak from conceding, keeping his side in the contest during a tense encounter.

In the end, neither side could find the breakthrough, with the stalemate leaving Hearts of Oak to rue missed opportunities. The result sees the Phobians drop to fourth place on the Ghana Premier League table as the race for the top spots continues to intensify.
