The Brazilian forward has enjoyed a productive opening to 2018-19 alongside a fellow South American, with the goals expected to flow between the pair
Gabriel Jesus maintains that he can play alongside Sergio Aguero at Manchester City, with the pair boasting the same “spirit of scoring goals”.
Having opened the season away at Arsenal with Aguero deployed as a lone frontman, Pep Guardiola tinkered with his plans during a home date with Huddersfield.
He was rewarded with a six-goal showing from the reigning Premier League champions, with his deadly strike duo causing plenty of problems.
Aguero helped himself to a hat-trick, while Jesus was also on target, and the latter sees no reason why Argentine power and Brazilian flair cannot continue to be used in tandem.
Jesus told City’s official website: “Our team has six players capable of playing in the attack, all of them really good.
“Pep opted for Sergio and myself, just like he has done last season and I think there was only one match where we didn’t so well - but usually when we both play together we do a great job.
“We can indeed play together!
“Sergio and I have the spirit of scoring goals and always try to finish well. I’ve started this season with the aim to get better with my finishes, to keep helping the team.
“Pep is super intelligent and he knows what the team needs and when and of course, I’ll be always at his disposal whenever I'm called upon. I’ll always keep the same spirit.
“Our season started really well against Arsenal last week, especially as it was away which obviously made it even harder.
“We wanted to start strongly at home and our team did a great job against Huddersfield - we did what we’ve been practising and were asked to do, and the result is there.”
City’s start to 2018-19 has sent an ominous message to their rivals, on the back of their record-breaking exploits last season, but Jesus insists the Blues are not looking to put down any early markers.
He added: “We don’t play to leave a message to anyone, just like last season.
“We play because we love doing it, we’re at a great club and we want to keep writing history for Manchester City.
“So we must carry on, repeat what we’ve been doing and see where it takes us.
“It will be tough, but this is why we’re here.”
City’s next fixture will see them head to Molineux on Saturday to take on Premier League new boys Wolves.

I think he is still young for playing with man city's stars He would have played in another team like Valencia, Ac Milan, Everton etc... to show that he is a great goal scorer and then go to man city. we were all waiting for him to shine in the World Cup but he didn't make anything. I know many people and especially man city fans will not like what I said but this is my opinion.
