Gabriel Jesus has made it clear he wants to extend his Arsenal contract despite missing much of his fourth season through injury, as the Brazilian striker declares his desire to win trophies at the Emirates Stadium
Gabriel Jesus is determined to extend his stay at Arsenal beyond his existing deal and is convinced his team are edging closer to Premier League glory. The striker, who arrived at the Gunners from Manchester City in 2022, has a contract running until June 2027.
The Brazil international, who had surgery on his left knee last year following an anterior cruciate ligament injury, has made his intentions clear that he wants to remain at the Emirates Stadium for the foreseeable future despite ongoing speculation linking him with a departure.
He said: "I think my first target is to be healthy. This is my fourth season at Arsenal and maybe I play one and half, two seasons. I used to ask myself why? Now I don't ask myself anymore.
My wish is to stay at Arsenal and then I have a contract as well. Obviously if you ask me, I want to extend my contract, I want to stay, I want to win trophies."

Premier League leaders Arsenal failed to capitalise fully on Manchester City's loss to Manchester United as they were held to a frustrating goalless stalemate by Nottingham Forest on Saturday evening.
The Gunners now shift their focus to the Champions League, though questions surrounding Arsenal's title credentials remain a constant talking point.
With his team sitting seven points clear at the summit, Jesus acknowledged that the Gunners, following two previous near misses, are moving closer to securing the championship. "What I do think is that we are getting closer," he said. "Unfortunately the last three seasons we are here we finish in second.
"We are in a good way and a good shape. We are happy we are in the position that we are winning games. The last two we didn't win, but still it's the Premier League; it is tough."
The Gunners take on Inter Milan at the San Siro tomorrow evening, and when questioned whether he believes his team can triumph in Europe's elite club tournament, Jesus responded: "I think every single player in every club that their team can win the Champions League. We believe, otherwise, why are we here? But there is a long way to come."
Jesus also revealed details about his relationship with Viktor Gyokeres, explaining: "Vik is an amazing guy. Unfortunately when he come, when he signed, I wasn't there, I was doing my rehab in Brazil.
"Since I come back, we have a good relationship, we talk about football. We are the same age. I have played here, Premier League, longer than him and sometimes I give some opinion, sometimes he does, about goals, he is a top striker.
"He score a lot of goals in his previous club and I am sure he's going to do that here with us."
But when questioned about whether the moment had arrived for him to claim the number one striker position, Jesus responded: "That is a tough question. Vik is a top player, he can score at any time and Kai is an amazing player. I am so happy that I have come back."

Arsenal is the only team of the premier league who always buy BROKING legs horses. One of the club that all center backs were out of use,one of the club where all strikers were out of use,and we fans are waiting for trophies?IT will never be.Wait for the next 20 years dear fans, from some one who is ARSENAL team since 1970 that is 56 years ago this year.Think of it a little bit.

No Jesus, you had done your do, we aren't extending that contract because it will all end in the hospital. We need a striker that will always be available to play, not play a couple of games and spent the rest in hospital.

Gabriel Jesus should not expect to be favoured. Pep Guardiola released him from Manchester City because of injury. ARSENAL signed him ,but spent most of the season on sick leave. It's time to release him
