Gap between Liverpool and Man City now bigger than entire European leagues

The gap between Liverpool and Manchester City is so big you could fit almost the entire Bundesliga inside of it while another European top flight league completely fits between the gap.

The Reds are running away with the Premier League this season and are 22 points ahead of second place City.

That's actually a bigger difference than the one separating the top and bottom teams in North Macedonia's top flight.

Vardar Skopje are currently top of the Macedonian First Football League with 36 points.

FK Rabotnički, meanwhile, are bottom of the table with 15 points - a gap of just 21 points.

The Macedonian First Football League is the only top flight in Europe whose top and bottom teams are separated by fewer points than Liverpool and City, but some others do come close.

Legia Warszawa are top of Poland's Ekstraklasa with 41 points.

ŁKS Łódź are bottom with just 14 points, but Wisła Kraków are second from bottom with 20 points - 21 fewer than the league leaders.

It's the same story in the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where 19 points separate FK Sarajevo at the top of the table and Sloboda Tuzla who are second from bottom.

In Kosovo, second bottom FC Vushtrria are 19 points behind top side KF Ballkani, while the top and second bottom clubs in Andorra's top flight are separated by 22 points.

Admittedly, none of these divisions are what you might call 'elite' leagues, but the same can almost be said of Germany's Bundesliga, where only three clubs are further from the team at the top of the table than City are right now.

Bayern Munich are currently top of the league with 43 points.

Jurgen Klopp's former side, FSV Mainz 05, meanwhile, are fourth from bottom in 15th place on 21 points - the same gap which currently separates City and Liverpool.
