Alejandro Garnacho's brother has delivered his verdict on Ruben Amorim's imminent appointment as Manchester United's new manager.
Sporting Lisbon have announced that Amorim is on the brink of moving to Old Trafford, with United 'expressing interest' in paying his £8.3m release clause.
Amorim is expected to take charge of Sporting for one final time tonight as they face Nacional in the Portuguese Cup, before joining United.
With Amorim closing in on replacing Erik ten Hag, Roberto Garnacho has taken to X to post his reaction to the change in the dugout.
'Just praying to see a Man United which the fans are fully behind the manager and criticising the players when it's needed!' he wrote.
'Let's go Reds, hope good things coming for us.'
Roberto's post appears to suggest that United fans had lost faith in Ten Hag after a dire start to the season.
United have lost four of their opening nine league games to sit 14th in the table, while they are yet to win in Europe this term.
His comment on criticising players could be construed as a thinly-veiled dig at supporters, with boos ringing around Old Trafford becoming a regular occurrence this season.
The Red Devils have been beaten 3-0 at Old Trafford by Liverpool and Tottenham, while also losing on the road to Brighton and West Ham.
That loss at West Ham on Sunday proved to be the final straw for Ten Hag, and Amorim will now be charged with bringing the feel-good factor back to United.
He will not be in place for Wednesday night's Carabao Cup tie against Leicester City, with Ruud van Nistelrooy set to take charge of that match.
But United hope he will be ready to lead the team this weekend when they host an in-form Chelsea side on Sunday afternoon.

That’s what I’m talking about. Every time we blame the coaches when the players are the ones who miss clear chances

10hag has not been sacked because of westham game. He has been sacked because of his continuous poor performances on and off the pitch together with poor relationship with his players. He had continuously produced the same repeatedly poor performance in terms of squad selection, how his team attacks and how they defend plus how he approached small teams with fear making united the be dominated in terms of attack and ball possession more so with small teams both home and aways games. Example when he used Mazorui as No 10 in last Europa game yet he had antony, amad and Eriksen who could have played there. So this has nothing to do with players mistakes but over all his poor display in and off the pitch. blaming players is important but its manager's role to blame them and put sense in them so if and given manager fails to control his squad then we the fans and the club has full authority to condemn him and even get him sacked. The reason he is called the manager and not just head coach is because he has to fully control his squad and other departmental coaches so incase a particular department lets say defense isn't doing well then we shal not blame the defense coach but head coach coz he has to control all departments In conclusion 10Hag has been critused rightfully
