Cristiano Ronaldo's partner Georgina Rodriguez has come under fire from certain quarters on social media while Portugal is in a state of alarm due to the coronavirus pandemic.

It is well known that Cristiano and his family have been confined to the family home in Funchal, Portugal under strict orders from Juventus, after two players tested positive for Covid-19 this week.

However, while both Cristiano and Georgina have advised their millions of followers to remain at home, it seems that rule doesn't apply to them. Earlier today, several Portuguese photographers caught Georgina Rodriguez coming out of a clothes shop accompanied by bodyguards.

Cristiano's partner had hoped to spend the afternoon disconnecting with some retail therapy in Funchal, and that hasn't gone down at all well with her followers - and even less with the millions of Portuguese citizens who have been told to stay at home after the government placed the country on high alert at the weekend.

Portuguese authorities have advised only essential shopping - for food and medicine is advised as they attempt to stop the spread of coronavirus before hospitals are overwhelmed.

On top of that, it's important to remember that Cristiano Ronaldo, who is under the same roof as Georgina at this moment, could be considered someone who is at high risk as he has recently had direct contact with teammates Daniele Rugani and Blaise Matuidi - the two Juventus players to have tested positive for coronavirus.

The former Real Madrid forward was also seen today, although in a more responsible setting that his partner. Cristiano Ronaldo made the most of the sunshine in Madeira to keep in shape with a few exercises by the pool, a moment which was also caught on camera.
