Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard has given his seal of approval regarding the club's pursuit of Nicolo Barella from Inter Milan.
The Italian midfielder has been in action in the Champions League in midweek.
Barella helped his side to a 2-0 first leg win over rivals AC Milan as they look to make a European Cup final for the first time since 2010.
"He's creative, he can nick important goals," the former Reds captain began on BT Sport.
"I watched him against England in Naples and he was involved in all parts of the game.
“He did really well against the England midfield - Jude Bellingham and Declan Rice. He's at a good age as well, coming into his prime."
