The Glazers are preparing to leave behind the £500million debts they've accrued during their time at Manchester United, it has been claimed.
The Americans are open to selling the Red Devils after 18 controversial years in charge. However, there's still no clear frontrunner when it comes to a takeover.
The Mirror says the Glazers are preparing to leave behind the £500million debts they've accrued during their time at the club, according to reports. The Americans are open to selling the Red Devils after 18 controversial years in charge. However, there's still no clear frontrunner when it comes to a takeover.
It's claimed the Glazers are hoping to pocket a huge £6billion from any sale.
But, despite that, they're planning on leaving United in a financial mess.
They've already taken around £1.6bn in dividends and management charges over the years, as well as debt repayments and share sales.
And the next owners of United will have to consider the money the club will need to pay off.

First off 6bn is not real and leaving 500 million in debt makes it harder for any potential buyer… They shud accept 4bn at most and the 500million to be subtracted from any sales made. That simple, that disgusting dysfunctional family shud just leave our club for us.. Bl00dy Americans

The new owner should agree with the Glazers how the debts will be cleared. If that is not the case, then the amount of the debt be subtracted from the total purchase amount. The Glazers really need to leave, and the earlier the better for the club.

I seriously doubt anyone will step up to by the club for that inflated price on top of a $500 million debt. The best ManU can do is get the hell out of being American owned and bring in someone that has football in there DNA. Unfortunately for the asking price of the club that may not happen for sometime. Best of luck to ManU.

They're really a disgusting family. I hope the new owners negotiate the debt from any sales. it's the Glazer's debt so they should pay it.

If the club is sold for £6bn as speculated, £4 bn should directly go to them. The remaining £2bn should be used to offset the debt, Renovation of the old Trafford, Training grounds andnfailities Women's soccer as well as the academy. M U S T should insist on that otherwise another demonstration.
