Gooners set up GoFundMe page to make banner of naked Campbell to show at Spurs

Tottenham fans could be greeted by the sight of a naked Sol Campbell during their derby clash against Arsenal once the football season resumes.

Gunners supporters continuously taunt Spurs over their former skipper who ran his contract down in 2001 before joining the red half of North London on a free transfer.

During the 2000/2001 season Campbell insisted he would be signing a new deal with Spurs, but instead he was announced as an Arsenal player in a shock press conference as he walked out alongside Arsene Wenger.

To further rub salt in their wounds of Spurs fans, an Arsenal fan account - that boasts over 58,000 followers on Twitter - has proposed an idea to show off Campbell in his birthday suit at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium once the football season resumes.

Posting a picture of a nude Campbell, he tweeted: "Going a bit stir crazy now, so seriously considering setting up a GoFundMe account to get a huge banner of this made for Spurs away - whenever it takes place."

Unsurprisingly fans were loving the idea, as one user said: "I am more than happy to chip in for this!"

Another suggested: "Needs to be flown on the back of a plane to be taken seriously."

A third added: "Let me know when you’ve set it up."
