Rice, who had withdrawn from the England squad, did not play but was present to watch the game. After the final whistle, he appeared with his son Jude, who had been hoping to get a photo with Yamal.
A video shows Gordon hugging Yamal in the post-match corridor, then pointing towards Rice and explaining to Yamal that Rice and his son were waiting for a photo.
Yamal then approached Jude and asked, "What's your name?" He then bent down to pose for a photo, which Rice took. Rice thanked Yamal, shook his hand, and then gave him a hug.
