Granada 1-1 Atletico: Rojiblancos held to 7th league draw on Felix's return

Renan Lodi opened his LaLiga account, but his goal was not enough to claim the points as Atletico Madrid were held by Granada.

Atletico Madrid lost ground on LaLiga leaders Barcelona as German Sanchez's header saw Granada, who had coach Diego Martinez sent off, fight back to claim a 1-1 draw on Saturday.

Renan Lodi's first Atleti goal had put Diego Simeone's side ahead an hour in at Nuevo Estadio de Los Carmenes, sparking into life what had previously been a drab encounter.

Jan Oblak was called into action to deny Granada an opener midway through the first half, but - after the home team's coach received his marching orders - Atleti's goalkeeper could do little to prevent German finding the net.

Atletico finally break the deadlock, it's 1-0! Lodi with a composed finish to put the finishing touch on a fine move by the visitors, his first goal for his club. Herrera spots the run of the left-back, playing him through on goal at a tight angle and Lodi slides the ball through the legs of the keeper and into the back of the net.

Granada have equalised, it's 1-1! The goal comes just seven minutes after they went behind. German Sanchez with a superb header after a corner, he powers the ball straight into the bottom right-hand corner of the net, past the reach of Oblak.

80' Unbelievable! What a miss from Morata

CHANCE! Morata should be doing better! Lodi gets down the left wing and he squares the ball to Morata, who was in plenty of space in the box, but lashes the ball high over the crossbar. He should at least be testing Silva from there and he knows it.
