Jack Grealish is looking for a way out of Manchester City and Newcastle United could come in with a loan offer as they prepare for a return to the Champions League
Newcastle are ready to offer Jack Grealish a way out of Manchester City as they weigh up a loan move for the out-of-favour playmaker. The £100million man has fallen well down the pecking order at the Etihad and is after a way out.
A switch to St James' Park could allow him to rediscover his best form with the Magpies open to signing him for the season. Grealish will miss out on the City squad that heads to the Club World Cup, further underlining his decline.
The problem for him and the Premier League giants is his mammoth £300,000-a-week salary. Few suitors will take on the entirety of his wages and City may have to foot some of the bill to get him out of Manchester, even if only temporarily.
Newcastle are back in the Champions League next season and Eddie Howe has continued to get the most out of the players he's worked with. Joelinton and Jacob Murphy are examples of those who have thrived and Grealish will hope for a similar upturn in form.
The interest from the Magpies will only ramp up if they begin receiving offers for Anthony Gordon, reports The Sun. The winger has become a leading light in the north east, but has been the subject of transfer interest.
Newcastle signed Gordon for £40m from Everton three seasons ago and he's been a huge hit. Liverpool were heavily linked last summer and the player was interested in the move, but ultimately stayed put. Howe would be loathe to lose his star man.
Grealish has previously shown he can be hugely effective and as Newcastle balance multiple competitions, his nous could be very useful. His City's treble-winning season the ex-Villa man was an influential figure as he played out wide - and prior to that was a key man at Villa Park.
Pep Guardiola has admitted that Grealish needs regular minutes despite overlooking him on numerous occasions. He said: “Of course, Jack has to play. He’s an unbelievable player that has to play football every three days. It didn’t happen this season and last season either. He needs to do it, with us or another place.
“It’s a question for Jack, his agent and the club. If he stays it will be fine and he will fight like he fought from day one to make a contribution, but not today.”
Guardiola also added: “It’s nothing personal with Jack. I’m the person who fought for him to come here and the person who fought for him to stay here this season."

Grealish, a player that never was. Well built, but no skill, no talent

Guardiola buys good players ,then wrecks them if they don't fit to his style. Do your homework Guardiola before you buy. Grealish is not the first player for this to happen under Guardiola..

Poor Jack Grealish has no one to blame for his monumental decline at Manchester City. I think the high wages distracted him from concentration. He suddenly became a party animal. He would be visibly drunk and showing zero respect for club, team mates and supporters. He became a big disgrace and on the field of play.He was ever struggling. Even us the supporters got embarrassed by his behavior. The press also amplified his untoward behavior. Manchester City do not want to identify with such behavior.
