Pep Guardiola claimed the entire country want Liverpool to win the Premier League title.
Manchester City went three points clear of Jurgen Klopp's side by hammering Newcastle United 5-0 at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
The defending champions will lift a fourth title in five years if they win their remaining three matches - starting at Wolves on Wednesday - and Guardiola believes that will upset the nation.
'Everyone in this country supports Liverpool, the media and everyone,' Guardiola said.
'Because Liverpool have an incredible history in European competitions. Not in Premier Leagues, because they have won one in 30 years.
'But I don't care. People want Liverpool to win more than us. They have more supporters around the world and in England more support Liverpool than us.'

No matter how much pep and city fan complain they can't hide the fact that the main reason to bring pep in city is to win UCL....They can defend but that's the truth... If domestic trophy is what they want then Pelleigrini and Mancini both are winning by spending lot less than what pep is spending... And pep is failing every year..and there is mot many years left coz the team he built by fortune is ageing.....they have yo start building new team and that will cost another fortune.... PEP is a world class manager but not greater than KLOPP......If city doesn't spent that much money they will be competing for top 4 position ..not for the title... I mean if the whole country wanted Liverpool to win the league, Spurs couldn't have put up a fight like they against Liverpool. City's games against Wolves, Arsenal and Everton wouldn't have gone in City's way. But you didn't hear us say that, EPL people wants City to win the league.
