Here are your Manchester City evening headlines for Sunday, September 18.
It worked a treat in Seville and did so again against Wolves, the new front three of Jack Grealish, Erling Haaland and Phil Foden seems to be a winner for Manchester City. All three found the back of the net in the win over Wolves
That follows four goals that were scored when they first lined up alongside each other against Sevilla, this trifecta appears to be the one that's clicking the best for Pep Guardiola at the moment, with the interplay between all three working a treat. Riyad Mahrez hasn't been able to find the form he showed last season and Julian Alvarez is still adapting to life at City, so it looks like both will struggle for a way into the starting XI for important games for the foreseeable.
The Premier League table is still at its embryonic stage this season.
Manchester City lead the way with 17 points after just seven games and have yet to taste defeat. In fact, you have to go way back to February for the last time Pep Guardiola's side tasted defeat in the competition.
As for Manchester United, they have recovered superbly from a slow start. After losing the first two games of the Erik ten Hag era, United have racked up four successive victories. Whilst the table at present has both Manchester clubs in the higher echelons, what about over a longer period? One football fan has put together the ultimate Premier League table with results stretching back a full decade to give the top 20 teams in terms of points accrued.

English media fighting tooth and nail to ensure that their country boys become the poster boys. The front three for City is Foden, Haaland and Mahrez.
Nope! Mahrez is currently not in form. Right now it should be Foden, Haaland and Silva or if Silva plays in midfield, it should be Alvarez to fill in. Alvarez shows quick adaptation to the team, but has not been given starting chance by Pep.

Jack is not consistent. Foden and Haaland were the only trusted forward, may be Alvarez, Mahrez or Bernado Silver will complete the best 3.
