Pep Guardiola is committed to Manchester City 'for years to come', according to club chairman Khaldoon Al-Mubarak.
Guardiola, whose contract runs until 2021, has been the subject of speculation suggesting he could depart before the end of his current deal at the Etihad.
The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager has not stayed at either of his previous clubs longer than four seasons - a landmark he will reach at the end of the 2019/20 campaign. But chairman Al-Mubarak has declared both the club and Guardiola are committed to each other, and will be for years to come.
Speaking to Sky Sports after City Football Group secured £389m investment this week, Al-Mubarak was asked about Guardiola's future.
"You know Pep has been an incredible asset to this organisation," he started.
"We can speak about his managerial accomplishments for hours. But I think as a person, as an individual, as a friend, he's been a core part of what we've accomplished here over the last three years.
"He's very committed. We're committed to him. You've seen his interview a couple of days ago. We have a great relationship. We have a great environment here.
"The people around him, the team we have in place today, the relationships I have with them, this is really an environment that's conducive to success for both him and everyone involved in this organisation. So I'm very satisfied with his commitment and our commitment to him and I'm looking forward to the continuity of this for years to come."
Al-Mubarak was also quick to praise the backroom staff at City for the club's recent successes, however, stressing that the titles won under Guardiola are not simply down to the manager.
"Pep's achievements I think, no doubt, are integral," he explained. "I think what we've accomplished over the last couple of years is remarkable. And that has had, I think, an overwhelming influence for the whole group. But I think Pep will be the first one to say this is a team effort."

No better place for pep guadiola. He has everything . Pep vision is to win champion league with man.city. Pep will stay at city for long time. Money is not the problem. He is not under pressure, the owner give him all the resources and support. man.city already moved pass what other teams put pressure on their manager. This club knows there project will take time. I believe the future is bright for the sky blue of manchester.
