Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has been browsing some stunning retro football shirts at a pop-up store – however, he hasn't been admiring his own club's strips from years gone by.
Instead, the Germany international took a fancy to cross-city rivals Manchester United's stunning blue jersey from the 1992-93 season.
Gundogan was pictured on Tuesday holding the retro kit, priced at £89.99, which was worn on the road by United on their way to securing the first Premier League title.
Although Gundogan, 28, has won the Premier League, League Cup and Community Shield during his two-and-a-half-year stint at the Etihad, he has struggled to nail down a starting spot in Pep Guardiola's side.
And, perhaps, it is a case of what might have been. Gundogan was heavily linked with a move to United in the 2015-16 season, with then boss Louis van Gaal extremely keen to acquire his services.
However, with Jose Mourinho taking over ahead of the 2016-17 season and Paul Pogba, United's record signing, also arriving that summer, Gundogan opted for a move to the Etihad.
The store, aptly named Classic Football Shirts, opened at the end of last year in the Baron Arcade and the business was set up by two students 12 years ago, both of whom used their student loans to fund the project.
It's now believed to be the biggest collection of original football shirts in the world, with more than 50,000 items for sale.

Most of the city players live a very low and down to earth profile like Gundogan, Both Silvas, Aguero, Kompany, Laporte, Sane, KdB, Jesus etc (Except Mendy, Walker)... compared to our neighbours where most of them are social media players rather than footballers !

He was looking at the shirt because the shop assistant told him that was what they wore at OT when they were relevant. Long before he joined City.

Man out shopping looks at the hideous design of a football shirt. The crime of the century or centurion?
