Guti rescinds his contract with Besiktas and seeks a club in Spain

Besiktas have parted ways with Guti, their assistant coach, who is now in search of a new club to coach in Spain.

Although the Spaniard had one year left on his contract, he decided to depart the Turkish side after a very tough season which was dominated by the club's financial issues.

Besiktas managed to compete for the domestic league up until two games before the end of the 2018/19 campaign, despite several players' departures, with former Real Madrid defender Pepe amongst them.

After a year as an assistant at Besiktas, Guti will now seek a club in Spain to be in charge of, following his successful coaching spell at Real Madrid's youth teams.

The 42-year-old showed his solidarity to the club throughout the season and, although part of his salary is due, he didn't file any official complaint and sought a departure in a friendly manner.
