Erling Haaland missed a huge chance to put Manchester City level from close range in Sunday's derby against United at the Etihad.
The visitor's were ahead in the end-to-end match after Marcus Rashford scored a goal-of-the-season contender from distance in the opening 10 minutes.
City then relentlessly continued to carve chances against a nervy United defence but couldn't take them, most notably when Haaland missed from two-yards out in the dying embers of the half.
A ball lobbed into Andre Onana's box fell to Haaland - who leads the Premier League's golden boot race with 17 strikes - and looked a certain goal before the City superstar lost his focus with the goal gaping.
The 23-year-old looked to be in two minds whether to head the ball on goal or try to steer it in the bottom corner with his touch and opted for the latter, causing the ball to soar over the bar.
Haaland nestled his head in his hands after the miss while the Etihad was left stunned at their proven goalscorer's scuff on the stroke of half time.

Lol. I can see that with Nunez you can't get any proper thing and say. so you are moving to Sallah. How many times has Sallah scored 30 goals in the league? For your information Sallah can't win the Golden Boot when Halaand is in City
then i switched to Salah goal scoring prowess as a winger and said that's the threshold Haaland needs to meet, all Haaland does is score goals given to him but he contributes nothing more to his team,Nunez and salah got goals and assists more than 10 to their names unlike Haaland, therefore both are more rounded footballer than Haaland, anyone can kick a ball to the goal and hope for the best or if you're a baby giant you power your way through but to create goals as well as scoring goals takes special skills and techniques that Haaland dont seems to av in abundance, nunez is near 30 goals and assists combined, isnt that better for the team than one man score 18 or 19 goals with 1 or 2 assists?who benefits the team more?taking into consideration that football is team sports not individual like table tennis?

i already compared Nunez misses with Haaland because that's what the argument was originally about,Nunez missing sitters so i point our Haaland miss more chances than Nunez in the stats, thats my point,

so how much Salah played this season?im sure its less, have you forgotten about that?he went off to the African cup and played about a quarter of a game since?so i guess he played even less than Haaland righr?but my point wasn't about this season, my point was if Haaland can do it over a period of 5,6,7 seasons consecutively 30plus goals then we can compare him to Salah, that was really my point but yes i admit i didn't elaborate

What are you saying. Haaland played 22 EPL games this season not 27. Point of correction. Salah is still behind Halaand in goals scored

and although leading, the rigors of the Premier league starts catching up with Haaland, he isnt that dominant like his first season, doubt he scores 20 PL goals as yet from 27 matches, and cant walk near Salah as yet with his goal prowess who by the way isnt a striker but a winger

i gurantee if it was Darwin Nunez missed that chance the entire football world and liverpool haters would be in a frenzy, not because they're sad he missed but anything to talk against liverpool..ππππ
Well, your point in noted. Buh nobody remembers the misses if you score a lot more. cos that's the work of a striker to score goals. And Halaand is doing that. the miss in the community shield was last season. and LiVARpool fans were happy. then he went on to set a record that No LiVARpool people will ever be able to break. Lol

also,if you check this years stats, you would be SURPRISED to know that Halaand this season missed more chances than Nunez,he probably dropped to 2nd over the last few games, but he missed alot of easy chances, even that babyline sitter he missed in the community shield wen liverpool was leading 3-1 from a Darwin Nunez header..πππ
